It's finally happened--the Teva Mountain Games have gone to the dogs--or at least the top canine competition organizer in the U.S.--as the Vail Valley Foundation has inked a multi-year agreement with DockDogs for all the Mountain Games' dog competitions.
Along with riding herd over the Eukanuba DockDogs events, presented by Cabela's at the Mountain Games for the next three years, DockDogs has also tabbed the Mountain Games as one of several U.S.-based zone championships that will serve as qualifying events for the DockDogs World Championships, beginning in 2010. This is serious tail-waggin' good news.
Eight waves of the Eukanuba DockDogs competitions, presented by Cabela's, are on tap June 5-7 for this year's Teva Mountain Games, with events including Big Air, Speed Retrieve and Extreme Vertical contests.
So head on out to Golden Peak and cheer on your favorite athlete or register your furry friend for the comp HERE. Now go fetch a tennis ball and start training.
